Morning Matters:

Weekly Chart of the S&P 500 Updated
by Geoff Garbacz

March 1, 2022

The Weekly Displaced Moving Average (DMA) Channel (Yellow Band) sees the current price below its channel. As such, bias remains negative on a weekly basis.

Second, the Erlanger Volume Swing (EVS) is at -22.54 from -30.96. Above 0 is good and below 0 is bad. The current action is negative.

Third, the Erlanger Crossover Spread (EC) Spread is negative at -31.62 from -30.96.

Last, the Erlanger Trend Direction (ETD) remains in downtrend.

So what is an investor to do here? We would recommend starting to look for bargains and taking gains on shorts but still keep some names on.

We are 58% invested and waiting to pounce on new buys.
