[Printable Version of This Page] Morning Matters:The Week Ahead For March 23rd to 27th: Lots of Economic Data The NASDAQ 100, Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 100 and Russell 2000 were lower for the fifth week in a row. 1.Geopolitical and Fiscal Events. Thursday sees the Bank of England its latest announcement. 2.Economic Releases. Releases of note this week include the weekly chain store sales, oil/gas numbers, mortgage applications and jobless claims as well as New Home Sales, Durable Goods, Q4 GDP, Personal Income and University of Michigan Sentiment. 3.Earnings Releases. Notable releases this upcoming week include NKE INFO CCL MU PAYX VRNT LULU FDS RH SCWX. Monday, March 23 No events of note. Tuesday, March 24 February New Home Sales are due out at 10:00 a.m. EDT and is expected to fall to 761,000 from 764,000. The latest NYSE and NASDAQ Short Interest is due after the close for data from February 26th through March 11th when the S&P 500 fell -12.03%. Wednesday, March 25 February Durable Goods is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to fall to -1.40% from -0.2%. Thursday, March 26 Q4 GDP is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to remain at 2.1%. The Bank of England (BOE) announces its latest interest rate decision. Friday, March 27 February Personal Income is due out 8:30 a.m. EDT and the estimate is for a decrease to 0.4% from 0.6% |
