So far in 2019, the S&P 500 is up 7.95% from 7.87% last week.The Morning Matters Portfolio is up 6.08% from 5.72% last week in 2019. We are 67% invested which in theory means the portfolio should be up 5.32% if the S&P 500 is up 7.95%. So we are beating our benchmark. The portfolio is now 67% invested long, 0% short and 33% in cash, net long 67%. For 2017, the value of the portfolio was 970.84%. For 2018, the portfolio value was 927.81% and is now 987.88% in 2019. For a listing of all trade both open and closed simply look under Portfolio on the left hand side of the website. We added a new buy in Facebook a week ago. Current names in the portfolio include: Ford (F) Viacom (VIAB) Blackberry (BB) China via FXI AT&T (T) Micron (MU) Facebook (FB). This week we added Google (GOOGL) as a new buy. Dividends are not included in our results unless there is a special one time payment. Markets are setting up for an epic buying opportunity last seen in 2015 or 2011.
