The Week Ahead
The, Russell 2000, NASDAQ 100, S&P 100 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average were higher for the week. The Big Picture [monthly bias] for the NASDAQ 100, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Russell 2000 and the S&P 100 remain positive despite moving into the monthly DMA Channel across the board.
1.Geopolitical and Fiscal Events. Monday sees the U.S. Bond Market closed for Veterans Day. Tuesday sees European Commission decide whether to accept an amended plan from Italy. 2.Economic Releases. Releases of note this week and next include the weekly chain store sales, oil/gas numbers, mortgage applications and jobless claims as well as CPI, Retail Sales and Industrial Production.
3.Earnings Releases. Notable releases this upcoming week include UGI ATHM HD TSN CSCO NTES WMT NVDA VIAB HP.
Monday, November 12
The U.S. Bond Market is closed for observance of Veterans Day.
Tuesday, November 13
The European Commission (EC) deadline for the Italian government to amend its 2019 budget to conform to European Union (EU) rules.
Wednesday, November 14
October CPI is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to rise to 0.2% from 0.1%.
Thursday, November 15
October Retail Sales is due out at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to rise to 0.5% from 0.1%.
Friday, November 16
October Industrial Production is due out at 9:15 a.m. EDT and is expected to remain at 0.3%.
